With the increase in available market shares, the Wallace Hardware Division
was created in 1989. Located directly behind the Wallace Hardware
Distribution Center,
the lumberyard currently sits on 8 acres of land dedicated to the storage of
lumber and building materials. With the 48,000 sq. ft. covered storage area
and as a regional reload center for Slocan, Wallace
Hardware Lumber Division is growing daily.
Lumber is shipped in daily from all over the United States and Canada,
by rail cars and truckloads and is distributed all across the southeastern United States.
Oriented stranded board, plywood, Gypsum board and pressure treated lumber
are just a few of the available SKU's.
Wallace
Hardware Lumber Division also offers precision-cut lumber. With the addition
of the HOLTEC Selecut Precision Crosscut System,
Wallace Hardware can provide lumber cut to +/- 1mm of tolerance.
Wallace Hardware Lumber Division's dedicated
inside sales force and customer service can quote lumber and panel products
on a direct basis in either carload or truckload quantities. The division
also offers mixed products less than truckload quantities within a 150 mile
flatbed delivery area.
